Overview
One platform for course production and learning
Sigma is a self-directed concept for a university platform that connects course planning, recording, publishing, and learning. It responds to a fragmented process in which instructors move between collaborators, studios, university staff, and separate tools. For students, it brings video lessons, notes, discussion, and optional in-person study into one place. The concept was not implemented.

Research
Mapping instructor and student workflows
My research began with an interview with a university professor about turning course materials into online lessons. I mapped the handoffs among instructors, collaborators, the recording studio, and university staff. The student perspective came from my own experience and patterns I observed among other students, especially isolation, note-taking, peer support, and the need for flexible study settings.
Design
From course planning to student learning
The proposed workflow lets instructors divide preparation work with colleagues, then record in a small campus green-screen setup while viewing slides and speaking notes. After filming, they can upload, revise, publish, and maintain the course in the same platform. Students can watch lessons, take notes, and choose online or campus-based collaboration.

Value
More than a video platform
Sigma treats online education as more than video delivery. For instructors, it could reduce dependence on separate production teams and make courses easier to revise and maintain. For students, it connects video, notes, peer discussion, and campus collaboration. The concept shows how one service could support both course production and the wider university learning experience.
