{marketing and communications design, information design, print production}
Overview
Information across formats
Designed for the Office of International Affairs at The Ohio State University, this visual system organized essential orientation information across print and digital formats. The work included immigration information cards, date-and-location cards, social media assets and a welcome events calendar.

International students
3,916
Undergraduate students
2,647
Graduate and professional students
In autumn 2019, Ohio State’s Columbus campus enrolled 6,563 international students: 3,916 undergraduate students and 2,647 graduate and professional students. The orientation materials supported communication for both audiences across multiple stages of their arrival.

Visual System
Working within an established identity
Ohio State’s brand standards provided a recognizable foundation for the orientation materials. I extended that identity through a consistent typographic hierarchy, restrained color palette, image treatment and modular layout system, allowing materials with different formats and purposes to read as one coordinated program.
Information Design
Structuring information for quick reference
Each format was organized around how and when students would use it. Immigration requirements were separated into focused cards, dates and locations were condensed into portable references, and longer event schedules were structured for scanning. The same hierarchy carried into social media, creating continuity before and during orientation.
